Import Test Collection
In this section, we will introduce how to use the core functions of SwitchHoster
.
Prerequisites
Open popup page
After you pin SwitchHoster
to the toolbar, click the SwitchHoster
extension icon to open the popup page. You will see three core menus, Matches
, Collections
, and Settings
, through which you can quickly access and manage different functions and easily switch or adjust the settings of a collection.
- Matches: Displays all matches in the set of successful matches.
- Collections: Manage collections that have been created, you can configure 'URI rules' in collections and add or edit matches.
- Settings: Personalized adjustment of
SwitchHoster
related functions
Toggle Match
Go to the Match Items
menu, click Import Test Collection
, and you will be directed to the Playground. After completion, open the SwitchHoster
extension icon in the browser toolbar again, enter the Matchings
menu, and you will see 5 matches that were successfully matched.
At this point, you can click on any of the matching items, or focus the cursor on the web page, and use the shortcut key Ctrl / Option ⌥ + Tab
to complete the switching action.
TIP
MacOS
users can switch through the shortcut key Option ⌥ + Tab
.
Windows
and other operating system users will use the Ctrl + Tab
key to complete the switch.
Learning Collection
In the Collections
menu, you will see the Test Collections
you just imported. After clicking to enter the collection editing page, you can view and edit the detailed configuration of the collection.
The collection editing page is divided into four main parts:
- Basic information: Name the collection and describe its role or usage scenario.
- URI rules: Define the URI rules that apply to the collection, of course you can create multiple URI rules to suit different usage scenarios.
- Matches: Manages the available matches under the current collection.
- Operation button: Save, deactivate or delete the collection.
These configurations allow you to manage and adjust collection-related configurations to ensure that they work correctly in different situations.
